Brand introduction: Troo-A Swiss ethical lingerie brand

As I've been so lucky to have established a bit of a following on Instagram, every once in a while I get to collaborate with inspiring brands. I came across Troo via Instagram and reached out to them as I instantly fell in love with their company and the women behind running it. In the following I would like to introduce you to this forwardthinking Swiss brand. So without further hesitation, let's jump right into it. Troo is an ethical Swiss luxury lingerie brand that was set up by the wonderful Nic and Steff Fitzgerald, two beautiful sisters that originate from a small South African town. As they state themselves, they are both "passionate about doing our bit to support slow, responsible fashion and promote a more sustainable lifestyle". Fighting the common stereotypes of Fair Fashion underwear, they show that sustainble fashion doesn't have to compromise style. They partner up with young, like-minded designers to produce their beautiful and sexy intimate wear.  The beautiful and comfortable bralette I picked is called the Zahliah Black and comes from the MetteRose designer Team. They use leftover fabrics from grand designers, which are normally a waste product and are thrown away unused. This makes their collection very unique and the pieces are limited for that reason. Megan Miller, the face behind the brand, claims that "her favourite part about lingerie is that they have been and always will be just for her". I think she makes an important point there. For years I mostly wondered why I should wear nice underwear when no-one (well hardly anyone ;)) gets to seem them anyways?. It's so important that Miller highlights that looking good in your underwear is essentially something you do for yourself. Wearing such unique pieces of undergarment make us feel equally special and beautiful and boost our self-esteem. I don't know about you guys but when I wear sloppy underwear (you know when washing day gets closer), I just don't feel as comfortable and beautiful in my own skin. So hell yes can we wear gorgeous underwear for oursleves without wanting to please anyone but us! I think the message Miller spreads is very important and should make us understand that nice underwear isn't about seduction but about self-love first and foremost.I love to see other brands like Troo setting new standards in the fashion industry. Also, they might get more people to switch to ethical brands, as they clearly show it doesn't mean you have to run around in grandma'ish looking underwear. It's very pleasing to me that they are a Swiss brand as I think it's so important to support local brands. Backing small local and ethical businesses is one important step towards a more sustainable fashion industry. That way we take away a bit of the power of the Fast Fashion giants and give it into the hands of small ethical players. So, if you want to check out their beautiful store click here. *Transparency note: the product shown was gifted but this is my sincere and honest review*
